What makes a GREAT idea great in social media?
It was all over the place recently at the blogworld expo convention.
It was ROCKING HOT. People tweeting about it, blogging about it, sending mobile uploads, podcasting live, ustreaming about it.
What a great event and I love las vegas and the climate. But also the greatest part of it was the education that someone could learn from it.
And Scott was even interviewed on CNN about the social media revolution. GO Scott! How about Chris Brogan? And all the speakers there? it was an AMAZING chance to learn and grow in social media.
Why am I telling you this?
Yes, I know.
I disappeared again.
Been on the road and whew- 12 cities in 6 weeks speaking. Lots going on. Consulting. Starting another New Business. Moving into bigger offices and warehouse space. Losing my mind. LOL. But am back to writing.
Am sitting here on the dock at lake twitter on Memorial Day Weekend and thinking about the Core of any home business and social media. I have been thinking about this for a couple of days, and thought I would write a short post on the 4 levels of Value that i have found in social media and how it impacts the social sphere.
Unless you have lived in a cave the last 4 years, you have probably heard of this. It is a rocking hot social networking site that seems to be almost everywhere today. On the news. On the radio. On the minds of millions of folks a day.
Mari Smith would be proud.
Ok- I know that you may be asking,” A LAW about facebook?” Yes, 10 of them for marketing and business success in what you so. I am a marketer and have been for 20 years. Built a training and consulting business that does business in over 20 countries, because of social media and the internet. And there are marketing laws that all marketers and business professionals must follow if they are going to have Success in the marketplace.
I have not posted in a week.
I have had a brutal travel schedule the last week so I have not had time. No excuse! But it has been very hectic and the speaking schedule has been busy. But today I turn it around! I want to focus on something that I am observing in the social zone that is happening.
It is called the ONE HUGE MISTAKE!
There is much talk today about a “recession” and all that goes along with it. Just listen to the radio and watch TV, read the newspaper, and look on the internet.
But then, I do not really pay that much attention to any of those, as i know where I stand with this so called “recession.”

Hmmm…this may go against the grain with some folks.
But after 4 years in social media, I believe that I need to write this and get this off my chest.
There is a myth out in the social media zone, saying, “Content is king.”
That is not true.
If it were, there would be a HUGE amount of more articles and blogs and posts that the search engines would be indexing and showing in all of it’s search results…
But that is not really happening.
Because Content is NOT King (or Queen.)
Sounds like a radio station- sort of.
Sounds like a formula for engineering sound.
But in reality, it is getting to be one of the standards of the social media world in content delivery. And THAT is a major power in helping accelerate your Branding efforts in the social media zone.

What is the REAL pulling power in the Connection with people regarding Social Marketing?
What is THE Magnet with people that draw them to you like a magnet on steroids?
it is one of the most powerful assets that a business has and people are relentlessly looking for.
But not just ANY information.
The Core Energy of any Success and achievement.
And also the Core of any Social Media Success.
That is what Social Media Leadership is about - an evolving Leadership that in a powerful manner, will redefine the web and social media in general n the future.
