Seems that people in marketing are starting to say that they are going to concentrate on the more traditional models of marketing because social media is not proven nor scalable.
I think they seem to be forgetting something.
You can hold conversations with people online and let them STAY online while they shop from your suggestions.
You can hold conversations with people and tell them the in store specials that are going on.
You can hold conversations with people and simply thank them fro looking at your specials for the holidays and Christmas.
Or you can slow down and ignore social media and lose out on the best buying season of the year with potential new prospects that are open to your conversation.
Wake up Corporate America!
This is NOT the land of Oz-it is the land of Web 2.0 and those that choose this holiday season to embrace it, will find a gold mine in their social media marketing efforts.
