And it is growing in numbers.
We all know that twitter is the king of micro blogging. And there are other platforms as well like tumblr, identi.ca, pownce, and rejaw.
But plurk seems to be the rising star on many fronts.
It is an interesting way they do things. It has a timeline that people can follow, and much like twitter, you can “pleek” your message, and the people that are following you will see it.
Here is a secret: You can multiply your efforts with plurk with either hellotxt.com or ping.fm. These sites will not only send your message to plurk, but also twitter, and many other social media sites.
Marketing on plurk is simply the three step path we teach:
Conversation–> Connection—> Construction.
Start a conversation or join the conversation and comment on what is being written, Connect with the people you desire by following them and getting them to follow you by putting out great content and ideas, and then Construct a bridge of trust so they will eventually take it offline. You do this with giving VALUE they do not expect in your pleeks and messages.
Simple and real.
So if you have not gotten aboard on plurk, I would suggest you do. Plurk is here and growing-and you should be too with your social media marketing efforts.
